Beard oil is a great way of keeping your beard (hair/skin) in good condition. The oils I use moisturise, soften, help repair damage, and generally means good mojo.
When I started growing my beard, the only ‘beard oils’ you could get had to come from the US. I decided, knowing a bit about essential oils, to make my own. These days, there are several guys making oils at ‘commercial levels’ in NZ, but mine are still all hand made in small quantities as more of a work of passion and interest. Keep a look out for short run scents, as well as the basics that have become the standard down here in NZ.
Beard Oil WILL NOT help your beard grow faster. Anyone who says otherwise is either yanking your chain or just has no idea. What it can do, is help moisturise your skin underneath the hair and can also keep the beard hairs themselves soft – that means they are less likely to split or get pulled out when you comb your beard. You are combing your beard regularly, aren’t you?
Beard Oil shouldn’t become an oil slick on your face. a couple of drops (applied with our handy dropper bottle) will go a long way. Apply regularly, but apply sparingly.
They are all lightly scented (unless noted otherwise) and contain NZ Native ingredients that make them unique to our shores. I wanted to make something that was uniquely kiwi, uniquely ours.
On top of base oils of Jojoba, Argan, Hemp and Rape Seed, you will find our unique blend of Kawakawa, Kowhai & Harakeke oils in the mix. These native plants have long been used for their traditional medicinal and astringent qualities.
USAGE: Place 3 or 4 drops of oil in hand. Rub it into your beard, starting at the roots and working outwards.
